5. Jackie and Barbara - NICU Social Workers

This week we were fortunate enough to have Jackie Thomas and Barbara Williams on our show. Jackie and Barbara are social workers in the NICU department at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and are passionate and committed advocates for the children they serve. In this episode we delve into what it looks like to be a social worker in a hospital and how vital this role really is. We also examine some of the common misconceptions surrounding the field of social work and debunk a few of the myths that many believe about social workers. This conversation with Jackie and Barbara was informative in many ways and we are so thankful for the time that they spent with us and the wisdom they shared.
