Our team is participating in the Forrest Future Leaders program to make a significant impact on our community. This group of girls is enthusiastic about service and giving back. Our  goal is to make the lives of families with a chronically ill child easier and more enjoyable. Our team will work diligently to raise money that will make an impact on multiple people’s lives. Every member of our team enjoys helping others, and we love bringing a smile to many faces. We recognize the impact that the money we raise will have on the families who are suffering, which is why we will do our absolute best to host entertaining and influential events throughout the year. We are excited to be a part of this wonderful program, and cannot wait to continue to serve with a smile!

At Girls for Good, we believe that even small acts of kindness can create lasting change. As a team within the Forrest Spence Fund, we came together because we wanted to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We wanted to use our time, creativity, and passion to give back to the city we call home and help bring hope to children and families who need it most. We know that real change doesn't always come from one big moment—it comes from people choosing to care, showing up for one another, and taking small steps that add up over time. That's what Girls for Good is all about. Whether we're planning fundraisers, volunteering, organizing service projects, or encouraging others to get involved, every effort is driven by the desire to make someone else's day a little brighter. Through the Forrest Spence Fund, we have the opportunity to support an organization that has been serving children and families in the Mid-South for years. Their mission inspires us to lead with kindness, compassion, and generosity, and we're proud to play a small part in helping that mission grow. Our hope is to create more than successful events—we want to create a community of young people who believe in giving back. We want to show that leadership isn't about titles or age; it's about having the courage to care and the willingness to take action. If we can inspire even one person to volunteer, donate, or simply choose kindness, we've already made a difference. As we continue to grow, we hope to reach more families, support more children, and build lasting relationships throughout the Memphis community. We want every fundraiser, every volunteer project, and every act of service to remind people that they are seen, valued, and never alone. At Girls for Good, we're learning that making a difference isn't about changing the whole world overnight. It's about changing someone's world today. Together, we hope to leave Memphis a little stronger, a little brighter, and a little more connected—one act of kindness at a time.

We want to participate in Forrest Future Leaders because we are passionate about giving back and supporting families in our community during times of need. This program provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while also helping raise awareness for the Forrest Spence Fund. We are excited to expand our involvement in service, explore new volunteer opportunities, and use our time and abilities to positively influence others. Ultimately, we hope to strengthen our community and brighten lives, both in big ways and small.

Our team, Leaders for Littles, has decided to be a part of Forrest Spence Fund because we believe that our skills can help raise money and work with families who have children in the NICU. We plan to make a positive impact in our Memphis community, help provide support during difficult times, and shed little beams of hope for families in hospitals.

Our team, Hearts for Hope, has decided to participate in the Forrest Future Leaders program because we want to help give back to the Memphis community that has done so much for us. We want to support the countless families who are facing the unimaginable stress, fear, and despair of having a child in the hospital facing chronic illness. By participating in this amazing program, we hope to grow our leadership and teamwork skills, while also learning more about the different impacts we can individually make on our community and beyond. We believe that even the smallest acts can leave a lasting impression, and we hope that through our efforts, we can positively impact the lives of many people and bring hope and healing to those who are hurting. We are honored to have this experience and are dedicated to using it to remind the families that we serve that they are supported, valued, and loved through every step of their journey.

Hello, my name is Maliyah Williams. I am the team leader for Funding Our Future. When I first heard about the Future Leaders Program, the cause reminded me of something similar to what my family experienced. In 2021, my brother was diagnosed with Leukemia. For three years, he was treated at St. Jude. When my parents stayed in the hospital with my brother, my youngest brother and I stayed at home with relatives waiting on updates. I saw first hand the stress that comes from having a child in the hospital. The help from friends, family, and even strangers made all of the difference. Simple things like having snacks and activities helped my brother to remain positive throughout his experience. Today, my brother is about to start middle school and has been finished with chemo since 2024. The Forrest Future Leaders program is an opportunity for me to give back and help families experiencing similar challenges as that of my family. Thank you so much for your support!
