Maddie Haddow - Staff Member
Forrest Spence Fund

Maddie Haddow serves as the Chattanooga Director for the Forrest Spence Fund. She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a certificate of Christian Community Transformation from the Memphis Center for Urban Theological Studies.  Maddie joined the Forrest Spence Fund in June of 2025 after making the move from Memphis to Chattanooga. She serves as the primary contact between Children's at Erlanger and program's that we offer at the FSF. Upon joining us, she was a Child Life Activity Coordinator at LeBonheur Children's Hospital for two years, hosting programs, activities, siblings, donations, and events throughout the day-to-day life in a children's hospital.

Recognizing the importance of normalization and caring for families holistically in the hospital, the Chattanooga Director position was a perfect position to apply lived experiences and meet families exactly where they are. Prior to LeBonheur, Maddie participated in the Service Over Self (SOS) Academy, where she was able to live, serve, work, and learn in the community of Binghampton in Memphis, Tennessee. Learning the ins and outs of nonprofit organizations gave a closer look at seeing where need is driven and given, and just how important they are for the community.

Maddie's passion is to walk with others through the good days and the hard days, while creating a path for normalcy when life feels anything but normal. In her free time, Maddie serves on a YoungLife team, can be found trying all of the new local spots, soaking up the sunshine, and hanging out with her husband, Sam, and perfect pup, Miller.
