107. Reeca Cole - A Family Story
Aaron and Reeca Cole live in Arkansas and were best friends during High School and through college. In 2018 they finally decided to join their prior families together and create one BIG family. Aaron came into the marriage already having a daughter and Reeca had two daughters. Aaron adopted one of the girls and together they have 3 boys and 1 little girl. Collectively they have three boys and four girls.
In May of 2023 Reeca went into Preterm labor. On May 25 she delivered their precious baby boy Truett Joshua Cole. Truett spent 9 days in the Nicu at LeBonheurs Germantown and shortly after returning home became very ill with three serious upper respiratory infections RSV, Rhino, and Entro. He spent a month and half intubated and on a ventilator. The doctors finally came to the conclusion that something else was causing Truett to have sick lungs. They did a PEEP titration test and found Truett had severe Bronchial Malacia. He was trached and on a vent. After 7 months in the hospital and away from their other children Truett and his parents Reeca and Aaron were able to return home on January 9th 2024. After 2 years on the vent Truett was extubated and trash free as of July of 2025. He is also g-tube free as of May this year. Truett is thriving, 3, and growing more and more each day!
