13. Dr. Carlos Torres — Director of the Family Assistance Program

Dr. Carlos Torres is the Director of the Family Assistance Program at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital which provides support to families of hospitalized children and helps them make sense of, and make the best of, the challenges that come with the child’s diagnosis and treatment. We had such a good conversation with Carlos and he was even willing to share about his own journey with grief after losing his father at a young age. This experience led him to his current position and gave him a passion to sit with others as they process grief. Although this is a hard topic, Carlos is doing such good work and making a difference in the lives of many. We had a great time talking with him!
