7. Emily Weller — PICU Nurse
Emily Weller is an amazing PICU nurse at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital who graciously came on the podcast to talk about the vital role she plays in caring for some of the most critically or chronically ill children in the hospital. As a PICU nurse, Emily cares for the sickest of the sick and does so with empathy and understanding. Emily discussed with us the many facets of being a PICU nurse and described how taking care of a patient so often includes taking care of the family as a whole. Families with an ill child need support in many ways, and PICU nurses like Emily can be a great resource. We are so thankful for Emily and the many nurses like her who are doing the work to support those who need help.
